Lantern 3D Screensaver 1.0 build 5

Out of the many, many 3PlaneSoft-developed applications we’ve covered here on FindMySoft, Lantern 3D Screensaver is the first one to not display a nag screen. It does not display a nag screen because you do not have to register to use this application nag screen-free; you don’t have to register because Lantern 3D Screensaver is freeware. Freeware applications are great because, you know, you don’t have to part with your hard earned money.

So what does Lantern 3D Screensaver display, free of charge. On a black background it displays a vintage-looking, candlelit lantern. The lanterns swings about, the candle flame flickers – that’s about it. You do not see anything else – just a big empty, black space.

While Lantern 3D Screensaver is up and running, it plays the sounds of blowing wind in the background. If you don’t like this sound effect, you can turn it off. You can do this in one of two ways: you can press the M key while Lantern 3D Screensaver is running and the sounds will be muted; or you can go to the Settings window and disable the sounds from there.

Installation – at the time of writing this, support is provided for Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7 (32-bit and 64-bit editions). During the installation process you can choose between these languages: English, German, French and Russian.

During the installation process you are asked to install the 3Planesoft Screensaver Manager. This manager provides information about your currently installed 3PlaneSoft screensaver and about other screensaver 3PlaneSoft has to offer. The manager allows you to access the settings of all the 3PlaneSoft screensavers installed on your system. It also comes with a feature to automatically change the screensaver after a specific amount of time, or to display a different screensaver each time the computer goes idle. This manager is quite useful if you have more than one 3PlaneSoft screensaver.

Limitations – there are no limitations. You can use Lantern 3D Screensaver free of charge for as long as you want since the application is freeware.
